Come Dance the Night Away

Eastern Market Tango is The Place to learn and dance Argentine Tango in the DC area. Since June 23, 2004, Eastern Market Tango has acted as home to all segments of the DC Tango Community. During this time we have continued to offer the DC-MD-NOVA Community the finest Tango Teachers & Dancers from around America and around the world. We also offer In-House Teachers, some of whom have taught with us on a weekly basis since 2005.

If you've ever wanted to learn this soulful dance, the way they have danced it for over a century in Buenos Aires, this is the place to learn. And if you want to learn it in a fun, low-pressure social setting, taught by patient, kind, yet rigorous teachers who pay attention to detail, this is the place to learn.

Each Thursday and 1st Saturday of the month, we teach Beginners, Intermediates, and Advanced dancers in the science and art of Tango. And we follow these lessons with the most dynamic milonga--the most dynamic social dance--in the city.

You do not need a partner or any prior dance experience. We will teach you the fundamentals of the dance in such an easy-to-understand way you'll find yourself inviting friends along for the following week. Meet up with other fun-loving beginners at the Washington DC Tango Club @ Historic Eastern Market and dance the night away.
